Trackback Definition:
Trackback is a way to notify the web author about linking of his document with other websites. For Example:- Website A has posted an interesting article and Website B wants to link back to this article. To achieve this, Website B will use Trackback to notify Website A that it has posted an article related to your article.
Trackback is an acknowledgment sent via a ping from the originating site to the receiving site.
Trackback Usage:
Trackback is very popular among bloggers as one of the method to link back from other blogs. Normally bloggers or webmasters read an interesting article on any website or blog and then share their own thoughts on the topic by writing post and then link back to original post as a reference.
Trackback Tips:
1:-> If you are writing an article which is related to an existing article, you are referring to and that website provide Trackback option. You should use Trackback to link to that website.
2:-> Trackback can drive traffic to your website. Try linking back to a popular post and see how traffic drives toward your website.
3:-> Never use Trackback feature to SPAM your links to popular blogs or websites.
