Tips to Add FriendFeed Badge to Blogger

FriendFeed, the popular social aggregator website has recently launched some cool widgets that you can put into your blog to show your visitors, the services you use and your FriendFeed activity. In my last post, i explained the way to add Share on FriendFeed Button to Every Post in Blogger. In this post, i will explain how you can add FriendFeed badge in your blog. You can see the image below to know how this badge will look into your blog. You can also see this badge in the sidebar of this website.


This badge is customizable. It means you can fit this badge to suit the style of your blog. You can make your picture small, medium or large. You can show/hide Logo, Picture, Services, Stats and Subscribe link in this badge. You can set the width of the badge as well. To add this badge to your Blogger blog, following are the steps.

Step 1: Login into your Blogger account using your Blogger username and password.

Step 2: Click on Layout link from your dashboard, you will see Add and Arrange Page Elements under Page Element tab. See the image below for your reference.


Step 3: Click on "Add a Gadget" as suggested in the above image. and select HTML/JavaScript from the popup dialog as given in the image below.


Step 4: Copy any of the script given at the end of this post and paste it in your blog as instructed the image below.


Below are the customized script for FriendFeed badge. Before you paste this script to your blog, please replace the FriendFeedNickName in this script with your actual FriendFeed Nickname.

Style 1: Default with all options enabled

Style 2: NO FriendFeed Logo
