How to add Yahoo! Messenger status button to Blogger

You can add Yahoo! Messenger online button to your blogger blog to let other people contact to you when they visit to your blog. You can display your Yahoo! Messenger status (online/offline) to your blog visitors using these buttons. The code to add in your blog is-

<a href="ymsgr:sendIM?YOUR-YAHOO-MESSENGER-ID"><br /><img border=0 src="http://opi.yahoo.com/online?u=YOUR-YAHOO-MESSENGER-ID&m=g&t=1" /> </a>

You need to replace text "YOUR-YAHOO-MESSENGER-ID" with your actual Yahoo! Messenger id. You have choice of showing different button styles as well. Just change the variable "t" value in above code to either 0, 1, 2 or 5. You can see the button style from the image given below.


In order to add either of these Yahoo! Messenger status button to your Blogger blog. Go to dashboard of your blog, click on Layout tab and then click on add a gadget button and select HTML/JavaScript as instructed in the image below.


Just copy the code from here and paste it and don't forget to change YOUR-YAHOO-MESSENGER-ID to your actual Yahoo! id as mentioned above.
